Outlined Existence

This was originally created in 0.7mm mechanical pencil (HB lead I believe). When I started drawing it, I didn't expect to come out with much of anything, and so I'm ashamed to admit I used lined notebook paper, which took forever to retouch (never again!) A computer was used to make a negative image of the scan (because I thought it looked better that way, and made it easier to get rid of surface irregularities & lines), and remove the notebook paper lines; otherwise this is exactly like the original.

As for the work: Is the picture the outline, or what is contained in the outline? That sworly thing in the center reminds me of any number of things, including a blackhole sucking solar matter in, a sun, and a tidal whirlpool. The picture may make you think of other things; let me know what you think!
